The Rav

Rabbi Chayim Soloveichik grew up in Chicago, where his primary rebbe in Torah was his father, Rav Aharon Soloveichik. His father’s teachings and personal example profoundly shaped his Torah outlook. He was also deeply influenced by his mother, Rebbetzin Ella Soloveichik, who instilled in him a lifelong commitment to Ahavat Yisrael and Ahavat Eretz Yisrael.

Over thirty years ago, Rabbi Soloveichik helped establish a high school in Hamilton, Canada. He and his wife, Pircha, later fulfilled a long-held dream by making Aliyah to Eretz Yisrael. For more than three decades, Rabbi Soloveichik has devoted himself to teaching Torah, seeking to transmit not only knowledge, but also a deep love of Torah and the Land of Israel.

Rabbi Soloveichik is the founder of Kehillat Ohr Shalom in Ramat Beit Shemesh, where he teaches Torah and inspires Jews living in Eretz Yisrael. He and Pircha are blessed to be proud parents and grandparents, and he takes special pride in his children who serve and contribute to the State of Israel, including several who have served in the IDF.
